Are you an Art Lover? Do you love to surround yourself with unique furniture, pictures and accessories? Are you an artist yourself? If you answered yes to any of these questions you can segue your passion into the task of decorating your childrens room. As far as I am concerned it is never too early to introduce your child to objects of art. Whether it is something as simple as painted baby furniture or something more complex like Hand painted wall murals and studio made modern baby furniture – the influences of art can influence your child for a lifetime.

If your are more comfortable putting your baby to sleep in  brand name mass produced baby cribs you can still purchase Simmons, Delta, Simplicity cribs, etc. Some people feel like they are less likely to have any safety issues if they purchase their furniture from a baby depot instead of a specialty boutique. For these individuals they can express themselves without artist made modern baby furniture. When it comes to furnishing your childrens room, selecting inspiring baby furniture is only part of the picture.

The Real magic is in how you put it all together. By completing the project yourself or hiring someone, you can add beauty and originality to your childrens baby nursery. Either by hand painting a mural or purchasing unfinished solid wood childrens furniture. The unfinished childrens furniture can be transformed into beautifully hand painted beds, dressers, armoires, cradles or cribs.

An additional method of expressing yourself is to again, either complete the task yourself, or hire a talented seamstress. You can have blankets, bedding and even baby clothes crafted with original designed fabrics and other materials. If you are decorating your childrens room with hand painted murals, children furniture or original painted framed art it will be hard to find bedding or blankets to match the theme at any rate (unless you stick with solid colored bedding) so this may be the best bet for the art inclined.

Lastly, as mentioned before you have the option to include studio modern baby furniture that is crafted by a lone artisan or small shop; these works are often vastly sculptural and are commonly one of a kind creation. My preferred artisan is the world-renowned British children furniture designer; Mark Wilkinson who has hand crafted the Goldilocks line for Posh Tots at Poshtots.com.

Extraordinary and imaginative surroundings in your childrens room or baby nursery will spark the childrens minds-eye. A child’s room is more than just a place to sleep. It is a place to play, learn, dream and grow. Attempt to create an environment where children can enjoy all the undemanding pleasures of being a child and appreciate the splendor of their atmosphere. Although creating that environment is no small challenge but you can attain it by turning your childrens room into an artist’s palette.
